The Inferences View shows the currently inferred triples. Triples can be inferred either as a result of running inference engines or as a side effect of editing operations: TopBraid Composer automatically makes sure that each named class has at least one other named class by default. This default superclass inference is updated automatically. The Inferences View by default hides those from the view but they can be made visible from the main Preferences page.
All inferred values are shown with a blue background in the
Forms. The Inferences View shows all
inferred values (except for the trivial owl:Thing superclass
relationships) in a tabular form.
You can double-click on a row to select the resource.
You can drag statements or individual resources from the Inferences View to be used in other views of TopBraid Composer like the Basket View. There is also a button to assert the selected triples, so that they can be stored as part of your files.
Depending on how the triple in the selected row has been inferred, there might be an explanation facility that may give your some background on what has caused the inference. This is currently only supported by TopSPIN. The explanation button can be used to navigate to these explanations.
